Company
Headquartered near Research Triangle Park in Durham, North Carolina, Semprius, Inc. is commercializing an innovative process for printing high performance single crystal semiconductors on a wide range of substrates including glass, flexible or rigid plastic and other semiconductor materials. Our technology offers an unparalleled ability to create novel devices and systems by liberating the semiconductor from its traditional rigid substrate. We are developing capabilities suitable to a wide range of applications and are creating partnerships to bring novel products to market. Our mission is to make HCPV power generation competitive with fossil fuels which opens a multi-billion dollar market.
The solar industry is growing at an unprecedented rate and is demanding the highest performance solar modules at the lowest possible cost. Semprius has developed unique technology licensed from the University of Illinois which is capable of massively parallel transfer printing small solar cell chips onto a glass solar panel at very low cost. The technology enables the use of very high performance multi-junction III-V compound semiconductor solar cells. We are seeking a CPV Solar Cell Designer Engineer to join our team!
