This person shall assist in process and device research to improve the efficiency and reduce the processing cost of advanced back-contact silicon solar cells. The candidate is expected to be familiar with both semiconductor device physics, with semiconductor material and/or device characterization, and with semiconductor device fabrication and process technologies. The ideal candidate shall have direct experience in photovoltaic cell research. Alternatively, experience in other optoelectronic or semiconductor device fabrication, characterization, and/or device physics could be considered. The candidate shall also assist in the transfer of technology improvements to production, and assist production to address yield or process excursions as needed. Industrial project management and vendor interface experience is highly desirable. MS degree or higher is required, and Ph.D. is preferred.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Research Scientist is expected to be the resource for technical expertise in specific technical disciplines for the company, and to be a lead investigator for developing new devices or processes.

Requirements
Qualifications: Candidate must be experienced with semiconductor device physics, processing, and/or characterization. Candidate would ideally be familiar with photovoltaic devices or similar optoelectronic devices. Minimum Education Level (Also, include preferred education level if different): M.S. in physical science or engineering is minimum, and Ph.D. is preferred.
