Responsible for commercial, industrial and Residential PV systems design, engineering and troubleshooting of commercial, industrial and residential systems (5KW to 5 Megawatt )
Special Qualifications or Background needed:
• BSEE, EET or equivalent.
• License and ablilty to stamp drawings is a real bonus.
• Exceptional customer oriented attitude and service with professional demeanor.
• Creative problem solving skills that exceeds NEC and other Standards.
• Exceptional AutoCAD drawing skills.
• Engineering technical skills for assigned projects including:
• Knowledge of power systems.
• Knowledge of system integration.
• Knowledge of power electronics and controls.
• Knowledge of PLC programming.
• Knowledge of applications in which solar, wind and fuel cell products are applied.
• Requires hands on and computer skills essential to assure 100% customer satisfaction.
1) Applied Engineering related to installation, project management, troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Experience understanding and application of all pertinent electrical codes and best business practices and standards
• Wiring, conduit bending.
• Carpentry appropriate to installation.
• Mounting all shingle, foam, single and multi-ply, metal, tile and other roof materials.
• System monitoring and testing.
• Ability to install, program and trouble shoot monitoring systems.
• Familiar with UBC and IBC code application.
• Must have experience with design practices, safe work practices, and experimental techniques used in 480 VAC (and preferably high voltage) single and 3 phase power systems.
• Requires strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Requires working knowledge of computers with Windows applications.
• Requires experience in the coordination of product development teams.
2) System and job pricing.
3) Scheduling and planning.
4) System sales interface with sale department and customer service.
5) Design and system sizing.
6) System and project supervision and project management.
7) Installer and customer training and ongoing education.
PV consulting to electrical utilities, manufacturers, builders and developers.
9) Economic analysis of systems and system performance.
10) Business duties include all duties of a manager, executive and owner included:
• Negotiating
• Estimating
• Pricing
• Product Selection and Monitoring of New Product Ordering
• Job and Project Planning
• Permitting
• All phases of labor
• All phases of supervision
Requirements
Candidates without Photovoltaic (PV) experience will require additional training. Compensation will be dependent upon the candidates ability to produce and add value to PerfectPower and our clients.
