Electrical Engineer with Extensive Photovoltaic Design Experience Wanted

Description:
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with extensive solar photovoltaic design and field experience for the position of Senior Project Engineer. This position will require 5-10% travel.
Responsibilities:
• Technical site assessment reviews and pre-design site walk-downs.
• Detailed review and coordination of design of photovoltaic (PV) systems.
• Establishment of performance targets and process for performance monitoring & validation.
• Development of quality and safety standards for design and installation work.
• Creation of detailed check-lists for review and inspection of completed installation for
acceptance by our Client.
• Responsibility for providing technical direction during startup, testing, PV system
commissioning and performance monitoring.
• Technical support during Operations and Maintenance to O & M personnel.
• Supervision and guidance of junior electrical engineers in an expanding organization.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
Engineering
• Extensive knowledge of IEEE and other governing standards for design of solar PV
systems
• A minimum of 8-10 years of commercial experience in electrical design and electrical
installations
• A minimum of 5-7 years of solar PV system design
• Field experience in installation, startup and commissioning
Personal
• Professional with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude
• Self-motivated, driven, and results-oriented
• Collaborative: works and plays well with others
• Comfortable in and excited about working at a start-up
Education
• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
Desirable Qualifications:
• Extensive knowledge of output, performance and reliability factors of various
commercially available PV modules and inverters
• Knowledge of PV Module Support Structure design, module array lay-out
• Experience with interconnection design and review with utility companies
• Familiarity with review/design of instrumentation for data acquisition systems
• Professional Engineer (Electrical) license
